Swirly Sparkles

I know.  I know.  I’ve been extremly derelict in updating.  However, I have said that I won’t apologise anymore so we’ll just get straight to it.  😀  So today I have for you a stamped piece with a sparkly accent finger.  & that’s all.  ❤

Tiny Sparkles #1: Caviar

Today (& tomorrow) I’ll be doing something that I don’t usually do – crystal adornments. But time was of the essence lately (work & new sewing hobby taking up a lot of my time) & it was the simplest thing I could put on my sponge gradient. Today’s tiny sparkle is a caviar bead. 😀 I’ll have a different one for tomorrow so don’t forget to come back for it!

Feature: Nubar’s Silver Sword

Hey all, I’m back! I’ve been chasing a new hobby (sewing – it’s sew awesome, lol) & I actually forgot to update this blog last week. :p Anyway, I’m not apologsing anymore, so I’ll get straight to it.

Today’s Feature is from Nubar called Silver Sword from their Fortress collection. It’s a frosty charcoal-silver colour, a smidge difficult on the application since it literally shows every single brushstroke if you don’t have a steady hand but overall a very lovely colour. This was 3 coats (strangely ‘airy’ formula), no topcoat (you can see how glossy it is) & all 3 coats dried in 5 minutes. Yep. SUPER FAST.

As for the nail art, I didn’t want to take away too much from Silver Sword, so I just added some gold & silver glitter to make starbursts. 😀

Easter – Which Came First?

BLESSED EASTER EVERYONE! Whether you worship the risen God or the abundance of chocolate, I hope you have a good one. I made some very traditional nail art in the form of spotty coloured eggs & newly hatched chicks (complete with a feather cowlick) to ask the age old question – which came first? :p

Don’t Bee Negative

Happy Fri-yay all! Today is a Good day (geddit?) & since it’s Easter this weekend, I’ve done some Easter-ish/spring season-ish nail art to celebrate! Although these are negative space nail art (acheived with the use of striping tape), take a lesson from the happy bee (hapbee?) & smile!

Feature: Seche Perfectly Poised (with Tea Leaves)

I promised I’d come back with Part 2 so here it is along with a new Feature polish!

Today I’m showcasing Seche’s Perfectly Poised which is a creamy pastel yellow creme. If you are a user of Seche Vite Fast Dry Topcoat, you’d know the formula would be jsut as awesome. Thick but not gloopy, it gave opaque coverage in 2 buttery smooth coats. Dry time was fast (under 2 minutes) & it dries glossy.

As for the nail art, yesterday it was Coffee Beans, today it’s Tea Leaves!

Coffee Beans

Happy Monday all. If you’re anything like a lot of caffeine addicted people I know, then these little beans are life giving for you… This is a 2 part series, so tomorrow I will be showcasing another life giving plant (in a Feature too, whee!) but in the meantime, have some coffee.
